Summary

Welcome to  Assignment 6.  To successfully complete this assignment, you will need to do substantial research, reading, and studying of the topics. In addition to the assigned readings found in the lesson area, you must conduct your own research using the university databases and other appropriate sources. Sources used should be peer-reviewed and published no more than six years ago.

The Assignment

Part 1: Risk Register. Using a template in the Resource Folder create a Risk Register for the project using qualitative analysis/scoring. You should identify at least 5 risks – things that could take your project off the rails. Type or Category is used to group risks with common themes so that perhaps they can be mitigated with minimal actions – so use 1 word – things like Scope, Budget, Schedule, Resources, etc.  Risks are also complete sentences – “this might happen” – and if it does, “this is the impact”. 

Part 2: Quality Management Plan. Using a template in the Resource Folder, develop a Quality Management Plan for your project. You will need everything you learned in the Task to work together to design the plan.  Use the internet for additional ideas. Make sure you address Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities in your plan.

Part 3: Communications Management Plan. Using a template in the Resource Folder, develop a Communications Management Plan for your project. You will need everything you learned in the Task to work together to design the plan.  The most important part of this plan is the grid of communications types, who owns them, what the audience is, what the medium is, what the message is, and the frequency of delivery.
